The project entails the construction of a housing block for 31 apartments of varying sizes, as required by the competition.
All the housing units have a double exposure and are laid out around a central core composed by kitchen, bathroom and storage room. The day zones are located along the outer perimeter, with a side totally glazed, and face onto the street through a deep balcony that acts as a filter favoring a different thermal regulation in summer and winter and extending the living space toward the outside . The night zone face instead overlooks the inner courtyard, with smaller openings.
The facades are characterized by the composition of the horizontal stringcourses, the system of balconies and the colored vertical partitions that clearly define the image of the block.
