The project concerns the construction of a gym and multipurpose spaces for the schools and the city of Comerio.
The lowering of the floor of the building below street level has allowed to respect the proportions of the context. The rectangular area of the indoor playground is glazed on every side for the part that gets over the ground. This transparent box is covered by a shell, made of a steel structure and coated with concrete panels, which seems to float above the space beneath.
Outside the main hall a small, independent concrete volume houses the entrance of the gym, where a wide staircase leads the users to the lower level.
On the other side of the square another open concrete structure can be used for weekly market.
